Debt Caseworker

The main purpose of this role is to deliver multi-channel debt advice and casework to clients within our community, one role will primarily focus on clients accessing food banks, the other will support clients referred from other teams within Citizens Advice. We want people who are passionate about giving an effective service to those most in need therefore you will need to demonstrate an ability to engage skilfully with clients who may be vulnerable and distressed.

You will have proven skills from working in a busy environment, prioritising work towards achieving targets. You will be a highly motivated strong team player with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.

You will be a fully trained caseworker with the ability to understand written and oral information of complexity; competence to compile accurate financial statements, provide comprehensive debt advice and support clients with benefit issues. You will have effective oral and written communication skills for the purposes of negotiation and reporting.
