Citizens Advice Camden is a respected local charity with over 85 years’ experience offering free, independent, impartial advice and casework. Focused on helping the most vulnerable, its services reflect local deprivation indices and adapt to changing needs.
We are recruiting an experienced adviser/caseworker for our family support service at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). The role supports families of seriously ill children facing issues such as housing, benefits, and debt, and also advises GOSH professionals like social workers.
You’ll deliver high-quality, holistic advice and long-term casework, especially on welfare benefits and housing. Working closely with hospital staff, you’ll help families cope with the impact of serious childhood illness or disability.
Applicants must have relevant client-focused advice experience and hold MaPS accreditation to advice and casework level. You should be confident in a sensitive clinical environment, skilled in IT, and able to handle a demanding caseload. A commitment to empowering families and achieving positive outcomes is essential.
This is a hybrid role with onsite presence at GOSH required. The remote/onsite split is flexible but based on project needs. The role is not suitable for fully remote working. Appointment is subject to enhanced DBS clearance and honorary GOSH staff status, including policy compliance and training.
