Join Our Projects Team and Make a Real Difference!

North & West Gloucestershire Citizens Advice is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Projects Team and make a real difference to people in our local communities.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established and highly respected charity with an excellent reputation for providing high-quality advice and support. We are proud to be a great place to work, with colleagues who are passionate about making a difference and working together to achieve the best possible outcomes for the people we support.

A Role Where You Can Make a Difference

As part of the Advice First Aid Project, you will play an important role in supporting vulnerable residents across our communities.

You will work alongside colleagues and partner organisations to help develop and deliver the Advice First Aid training programme, supporting frontline workers to better understand the issues facing the people they work with.

You will also provide holistic advice and casework support to local residents experiencing issues such as:

  • Benefits

  • Debt

  • Housing

  • Employment

Taking referrals from frontline workers across the districts, you will enjoy building strong relationships with local teams and partner organisations, working together to ensure people receive the right support at the right time.

No two days will be the same! You will work from our offices as well as out in the community, delivering support in settings such as foodbanks, libraries and community hubs.

Trainee and Qualified Opportunities Available

This role is available on both a trainee and qualified basis, making it a fantastic opportunity whether you already have experience in advice work or are looking to develop a rewarding career in the sector.

If you do not yet have the experience required for the qualified role, don't worry! We offer a comprehensive training programme that will provide you with the skills, knowledge and experience you need to succeed.

This is more than just a job, it is an opportunity to develop your skills, build a rewarding career and make a genuine difference to people's lives, with opportunities for professional development and progression within the service.

Be Part of Something Exciting

The Advice First Aid Project is an exciting collaborative project, jointly delivered by North & West Gloucestershire Citizens Advice, Stroud and Cotswold Districts Citizens Advice, and local partners.

As part of the role, you will also support the collection of information and outcomes to help demonstrate the impact of the project and report back to the funder.

If you are passionate about helping people, enjoy working with others and want a role where you can see the difference you make in your local community, we would love to hear from you!
