Am y rôl
Are you passionate about helping local people get free, independent and good quality advice and have a particular interest in supporting unpaid carers?
We’re pleased to be working in partnership with Carers in Hertfordshire and Citizens Advice North Herts to provide accredited advice and information to carers across Hertfordshire.
Due to internal staffing changes, a vacancy has become available on this project. Current funding ends March 2026; there may be similar or alternative work available at this point.
Requirements for the Role:
• Experience of delivering generalist advice in the Citizens Advice service
• Demonstrate that you meet the competency requirements for a Generalist Adviser
• Experience of working with the public face to face and on the phone, strong communication skills, and a good level of IT competence.
• Ability to travel to events within Hertfordshire (expenses reimbursed)
Outline of Role – you will:
• advise unpaid carers on income maximisation, welfare benefits, budgeting support and debt, and refer on as appropriate
• collaborate with our project partners, attending regular team meetings
• help deliver links to ethnic minority groups, which is a specific project focus
• provide regular progress data as input to our quarterly reporting
