About the role

Citizens Advice Bedford is recruiting a Debt Advice Caseworker/Generalist to join our debt team. Ideally, you will have previous experience of debt advice work, but we welcome applications from individuals who have the ability and willingness to undertake training and develop quickly.

You will need excellent communication skills, the ability to manage your own workload and be a great team player.

You will deliver specialist debt and generalist advice to clients who seek assistance. This includes negotiations and representations on behalf of our clients. You will deal with complex debt cases and work within contract requirements. You will ensure the advice you give is high quality and you achieve excellent outcomes for your clients.

You will advise clients in person, by video, telephone and by email. Hybrid working with office, home and outreach working as required.
