About the role

As Energy Team Leader you will play a key role in ensuring our Energy and Welfare Benefits advice services are delivered to high quality standards with a strong focus on client care. You will lead, motivate and support staff to deliver quality services, helping the team to achieve agreed targets and objectives. You will support and provide cover for Team Leaders of other subject areas, and will also work in our City Centre Hub supporting advice through face to face, telephone and digital channels..

Experience of people management is desirable but this role may also appeal to an experienced Energy and Welfare Benefits caseworker with a good level of technical knowledge who is looking to develop skills in managing and supervising others, and support holistic service delivery in related advice areas.

Excellent organisation and communication skills are essential for this role, along with a solution-focused approach and an understanding of the importance of motivating individuals to succeed. A positive approach to leading a team and working with others to achieve wider organisational goals is essential.

We’re seeking people with strong communication skills, resilience, a commitment to social justice, and the desire to support our communities through high-quality advice and casework.

Whether you’re exploring a client’s problem with them, supporting someone through an energy issue, guiding a client through the benefits system, or supervising advisers and volunteers, your work will be vital – and valued.
