About the role

Citizens Advice Bedford is recruiting a welfare benefit caseworker to join our team of caseworkers. Ideally, you will have previous experience of welfare benefit advice work, but we welcome applications from individuals who have the ability and willingness to undertake training and develop quickly.

You will need excellent communication skills, the ability to manage your own workload and be a great team player.

Many of our clients need welfare benefit advice and this can range from an assessment to make sure they are receiving all their entitlement to complex advice to appeal a decision. As a caseworker you will be advising clients who have difficulty taking action themselves or they may be facing a situation which is very complex. You will advise clients in person, by video, telephone and by email. Hybrid working with office, home and outreach working as required.

If you would like an informal discussion about the role and/or to request an application pack, please contact careers@bedfordcab.org.uk

Please note, due to the number of applications received, we reserve the right to close applications early. Fixed term contract for 1 year with the view to extend in line with funding.
