About the role
Make a difference where it matters. Join Citizens Advice Shropshire (CAS) and help us manage our finances so we can keep delivering life changing advice and make society fairer.
You’ll lead the day to day finances for CAS and provide trusted financial reporting and insight to the CEO and Board of Trustees. Your work will keep us compliant, well governed and future focused.
Key responsibilities
• Produce accurate and timely management accounts and monthly reporting packs for leadership and trustees.
• Run payroll and ensure all associated returns and reconciliations are completed on time.
• Lead on budgeting and provide analysis to support decision making.
• Oversee investment accounting and bank/ledger reconciliations.
• Strengthen controls, manage cashflow and reserves, support external audit, and enhance finance systems and processes.
About you
• Qualified or part qualified finance professional (e.g., ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong management accounting skills.
• Confident with budgets, reconciliations and payroll; comfortable advising senior leaders and trustees.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with modern accounting systems.
• Charity finance experience and familiarity with UK charity SORP (desirable).
• Organised, analytical and values driven.
