The project’s innovative, person-centred approach was recognised with the Kent Healthwatch Recognition Award 2025 and continues to transform lives across Kent.

As a Trainee Money & Mental Health Project Caseworker, you’ll receive full training and support to develop the knowledge and practical skills needed to become a specialist adviser. As your confidence and experience grow, you will help clients by becoming a consistent and trusted point of contact, taking time to understand each client’s circumstances and providing practical support and holistic advice for as long as needed to reach a sustainable outcome.

No previous advice experience is required. We’re looking for someone who is empathetic, a great communicator and genuinely motivated to learn. Through a structured training programme, you’ll develop the knowledge and practical skills needed to become a qualified specialist adviser.

What you’ll do

  • Complete specialist debt and benefits advice training

  • Learn how to provide advice and casework

  • Advocate with creditors, statutory agencies and support services

  • Help clients access benefits, grants and financial support

  • Build trusted relationships with people experiencing mental health challenges

  • Work collaboratively with health, social care and community partners

  • Support clients to improve their financial resilience, wellbeing and independence

  • Work alongside experienced advisers in a supportive team
